HERE Maps provider key

How to add a HERE Maps provider key to MapHub

This guide shows how to create a HERE platform account, register an app to get a HERE API key, and use it for HERE basemaps on MapHub.

Note: HERE requires billing details, including a payment card, before you can use the platform. You start on the free Base plan and are only charged if you go over its free monthly transaction limits.

1. Go to the HERE platform and click Create a free account.
2. Enter your first name, last name and email address, type the characters shown in the security check, then click Verify email.
3. Open the email from HERE and click Verify email.
4. Choose your country or region, set a password, accept the terms, then click Next.
5. On Add billing details, enter your address, phone number and payment card, click Save and review details, then Go to the platform. HERE requires a card even on the free Base plan.
6. On the HERE platform home page, under Discover HERE REST APIs, click Register your app.
7. Enter an app name (e.g., MapHub). Under Link to a subscription, select No linked subscription (Base Plan pricing applies), then click Create app.
8. Click the copy icon next to the API key. (You can find the key again later in the Access Manager, under your app’s Credentials.)
9. In MapHub, open the menu at the top right, then Settings and Map provider keys (link).
10. Paste the key into the HERE API key field and click Save.
11. Open a map, go to the Basemap tab and choose one of the HERE Maps basemaps.

Congratulations, you can now use HERE basemaps on MapHub!
