Map provider keys
MapHub provides a wide range of basemaps, some of which are from commercial providers (Mapbox, ESRI, HERE, etc.). These keys configure basemap access, not address search. See Search and geocoding for search providers and credits.
Basemaps other than MapHub’s own need a paid MapHub plan.
If your map uses a commercial basemap and receives too much traffic, we ask you to sign up for the provider’s free plan and add a key here.
Without a provider key, maps with heavy usage will be limited to MapHub Classic for 24 hours.
If the provider refuses the basemap requests, for example because the key is invalid or the provider account has hit a limit or needs a payment method, the map is shown with MapHub Classic instead, and editors see a message asking them to check their provider account.
